About
Mike

Biography
My years of working on ranches in Wyoming, Colorado
and Nevada exposed me to the rugged beauty of the West. I have found a way to express my experiences and feelings for
the West by designing furniture. I
also incorporate the geometric patterns of nature I discovered as a
graduate gemologist into my work. I
strive for my designs to be unique, and recognized as my own personal style.
There’s always one tree in the forest that is
different, unique and catches the eye.
My inspiration comes from nature, and the beauty of the materials I
choose for my creations. I
love to show the natural colors of various woods, and admire the delicate
variations of texture as I work with each piece of material. I
strive for perfection in my furniture, and have discovered that perfection is impossible. I appreciate the irregularities,
natural characteristics and unusual grain patterns in woods that serve to
make my pieces unique.
My function is to design and display the natural beauty of the wood
grains and colors in a form deserving of the original creator.
In
addition to woodworking, I am passionate about Alternative and Holistic
Health. We take for granted the bodies amazing ability to heal
without any outside intervention. I am an Herbalist and am currently
studying to further my career in the field of Naturopathy. I
am currently living in Orange County, Ca. with my sweet wife Stephanie
and 3 beautiful children. I hope to pass on what I have learned in
Natural Medicine to anyone and everyone that will listen. My dream is
to have so much information on Natural Healing that it will literally
change or save someone's life!
